Dental Bonding

Bonding procedures involve a series of treatments aimed at correcting the appearance of teeth and making them more attractive. These treatments are performed to address structural and physical imperfections of the teeth in an aesthetic sense. As a result of the procedure, issues such as crooked, broken, missing, stained, and similar dental problems are eliminated.

In bonding therapy, there is no cutting or drilling of the teeth. The treatments involve adding, polishing, and applying composite materials. This helps to correct the lengths, colors, and imperfections of the teeth.

Bonding procedures are typically completed in a time frame ranging from one hour to one and a half hours. After the application, the teeth achieve the desired appearance. There is a follow-up process over a certain period of time. In individuals who undergo bonding, especially if a lot of tea consumption is involved, color change may be observed. In such cases, the polishing process easily eliminates the color change.

When is Bonding Applied?

Bonding application is a series of procedures commonly used in aesthetic and preventive dentistry. It aims to correct imperfections in the teeth, such as surface irregularities, and to change the color and shape of the teeth. Bonding is a restoration process where composite material, matching the tooth color, is adhered to the tooth surface. Therefore, it is performed without touching or damaging natural teeth. It can be removed at any time. In most cases, anesthesia is not necessary, and the teeth can regain their natural appearance quickly. Bonding can last in the mouth for 7 to 10 years.
